The Best All In One CRM Solutions in 2021
In our blog post What is an all-in-one CRM we concluded that what sets an all-in-one CRM apart from all other CRMs is a solution that covers sales, marketing, order management, project management and service management. Based on this criteria, in this blog post we aim to outline what we think are the best all-in-one CRM solutions available in 2021, and highlight any notable selection criteria. Prices shown refer to cloud hosted options.
1CRM
Founded in 1997, 1CRM started out as a fork from the then open source SugarCRM codebase. 1CRM has moved on in recent years and now stands out for its inclusion of order management, service management and project management, including timesheets and expense reports. And new developments like customer portal functionality is winning new customers over to the platform. 1CRM’s aim is to put a tailored-fit CRM within reach of most businesses at a very reasonable cost.
Pros: Very flexible and customizable all-in-one CRM which is under active development.
Cons: User interface looks dated but a major refresh is due in 2021.
Price starting from $13/month/user

Accelo
Founded in 2011, Accelo touts itself as Service Operations Automation for professional services firms. So if you have clients, expenses and bill for your time or use retainers it might just be the best solution for you. The product features modules covering projects, sales, retainers and service can be bought separately for $39/month/user. However, to get the full functionality from this solution you’ll need ServOps which bundles all modules for $79/month/user.
Pros: An elegant solution designed for professional services businesses
Cons: Cloud only hosting, not open source. Expensive.
Price starting from $39/month/user

Bitrix24
Founded in 1998, Bitrix24 sells itself as an all-in-one solution that includes a CRM in addition to unified communications, calendars, tasks and projects, customer contact center and website builder. Bitrix24 states it is suited to small and medium sized businesses and can be used in a myriad of ways. Many small businesses seem to adopt it more for light task and project management than CRM. Despite Bitrix24’s broad range of business features it may not be what you actually need. The CRM offers plenty of features but it’s worth checking it does everything you want and will need in the future.
Pros: Includes free website builder, e-commerce and an app marketplace
Cons: Some features look dated and it lacks CRM customization options.
Price starting from $24/month

Method CRM
Founded in 2010, Method promotes itself as the best CRM for QuickBooks users, and as such, targets businesses in accountancy, construction, field service and small manufacturing – all proven QuickBooks markets. If you put QuickBooks integration above all else then it’s probably worth adding to the top of your shortlist but if you need a flexible and customizable CRM that isn’t tied to just QuickBooks then you may want to look elsewhere.
Pros: Probably the best CRM if QuickBooks integration is your one and only priority
Cons: Cloud only hosting, not open source. QuickBooks only.

Microsoft Dynamics 365
With its origins going back to the 1980s and bolstered by many software acquisitions over the years, Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 is a CRM and ERP product suited to Microsoft centric organizations with solutions covering sales, marketing, service, finance, operations, commerce and HR. So it meets our all-in-one CRM definition and then some. That said, it’s a big solution which needs some considerable expertise to set up and manage so in our opinion it’s best left to well resourced mid-market companies and the specialist consultants they will need to hire to implement it successfully.
Pros: A complete solution that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft’s software stack.
Cons: Not open source. Expensive
Price starting from $65/month/user

Oracle NetSuite
Widely acknowledged as the world’s first cloud computing software platform, NetSuite has been around in various guises since 1998. As such, NetSuite offers software covering ERP, CRM, e-commerce, professional services automation and HR. User reviews criticize it for being very difficult and intuitive to use. It’s also the only solution featured for which no pricing is readily available. From this you may draw your own conclusions. Probably best left to large enterprises with deep pockets.
Pros: CRM/ERP that has been around forever. Built on Oracle’s enterprise database platform
Cons: Cloud only hosting, not open source. Expensive? REST API still in beta. Dated interface.

SugarCRM
Starting from open source roots that it has since abandoned, SugarCRM has reinvented itself as a modular customer experience platform covering marketing automation (Sugar Market), sales automation (Sugar Sell) and customer service (Sugar Serve). These are in addition to its more fully featured Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise offerings. Unlike its predecessors, the current Sugar stack seems to be targeted at a clearly defined range of industries including manufacturing, business services, banking, and financial services, among others.
Pros: Can be deployed either on-premise or on cloud.
Cons: No longer open source. Expensive.
Price starting from $52/month/user

SuiteCRM
Founded in 2006, SuiteCRM was forked from an earlier open source version of SugarCRM by developer SalesAgility, and is now used by many larger organizations including the UK’s NHS. Available to download or as a cloud hosted solution, SuiteCRM is suited to industries such as finance, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, travel and public sector, and sees itself as a worthy competitor to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Pros: Large developer community with updates every six months.
Cons: User reviews complain about bugs and frequent changes.
Price starting from £95/month/10 users (approx. $122).

vTiger
Founded in 2003 in India, vTiger started out as a fork from an earlier open source version of SugarCRM. And while very little of the original code still remains, unlike SugarCRM, vTiger has stuck to its roots and is still an open source product. Modules cover sales, marketing, helpdesk, productivity and general, with the software available both for use on premise or cloud hosted.
Pros: Long established solution. Migration service from other popular CRMs.
Cons: Users reviews complain about poor search functionality, frequent bugs and poor project management features.
Price starting from $30/month/user

WORKetc
WORKetc is an integrated all-in-one business management solution that covers CRM and sales, project management, operations, management, helpdesk, and billing and finance. While it can be put to use for just about any organization, it is particularly suited to companies offering business or technology services, consultancies or mining and related industries. Looking at the website and screenshots it would appear that this solution has not been updated in recent years and prospective customers should satisfy themselves on the company’s ability to develop and support the product going forward.
Pros: Workflows
Cons: Cloud only hosting, not open source. Expensive. Dated.
Price starting from $78/month/2 users

Zoho CRM Plus
Indian cloud software behemoth Zoho has no less than three CRM products but its CRM Plus – comprising nine modules covering CRM, visitor website tracking, support management, project management, marketing automation, social media management, customer surveys, analytics and live chat – best meets our all-on-one definition.
Pros: The best choice for users of the Zoho ecosystem which includes over 40 applications.
Cons: Cloud only hosting, not open source. Tied to Zoho platform. Confusing choice between CRM, CRM Plus and Zoho One.

Conclusions and Recommendations
Cost
If minimizing the cost is the most important factor for your organization then you should consider 1CRM or SuiteCRM.
Hosting
If having the choice between cloud hosted or on premise hosted is important to you then you should consider evaluating 1CRM, Bitrix24, Dynamics 365, SugarCRM, SuiteCRM or vTiger.
Of these only 1CRM, Bitrix24 and Dynamics 365 enable you to choose the geographical location of your data – an increasingly important issue due to data privacy and jurisdiction concerns. While both 1CRM and Dynamics 365 are hosted on Microsoft’s Azure platform and offer a wide selection of locations, Bitrix24 currently uses Amazon hosting in either the US or Germany.
Licensing
Only four of the solutions featured here are open source. That means you can inspect and modify the software’s source code to suit your needs. In reality while this is not something you should attempt lightly, it is reassuring to have this option even if you don’t intend to use it. If open source is important to you then consider 1CRM, Bitrix24, SuiteCRM or vTiger.
