With Christmas parties to attend, presents to buy, and chocolates to eat, it can become pretty difficult to sit down, focus, and get some work finished. Here are 5 tips to help you stay productive during the holidays!
1. Buy Online
Don’t have time to wait in line? In your after-work time, try online shopping. You can finish off your Christmas list in just 1 evening and easily search for the lowest prices!
2. Ask for Favours
There’s nothing wrong in asking for help from your friends and family if you have a deadline approaching and need an extra hand with the holiday preparations.
3. Define Goals
Clearly defining your goals for the holiday season can help alleviate potential dips in productivity or consequences in the future.
4. Important Tasks First
Morning is the most productive part of the day for most of us, so it’s better to get the most important tasks done in this part of the day. That way, if you have to rush off to a Christmas party or for a last-minute gift, your most important tasks will already be finished.
5. Eat Healthy & Drink Lots of Water
While people may be bringing all sorts of treats to the office, try to eat at least one healthy meal a day and drink lots of water. Eating well will give you the energy to be productive, rather than falling into a slump for the last half of the day. Another trick in the office is to only indulge in the really special treats.
